The flange and nut body are cold headed as one piece. There is no risk of separation. We offer stainless steel SUS304 or 316 and carbon steel SWRCH35K or SCM435. Carbon steel grade is 8, 10, or even 12 per ISO 898-2. The flange outer diameter is 30-40% larger than a standard hex nut bearing surface. This lowers the stress on the part surface. It stops soft materials like aluminum or plastic from denting. The tooth tip hardness after heat treatment is HV 400-500. It can bite into steel or aluminum sheets at ≤HRB 70.
