Weldnut

Do you need a nut on one side of a metal sheet? The other side is out of reach. Threading the sheet gives too few threads. It will strip easily. Our Weldnut solves this problem. It uses resistance welding to fix onto the metal sheet. You do not need to reach the back side. We are a Shanghai factory. We have supplied fasteners for 20 years.

We weld an M6 hex weldnut on a 1.5 mm thick SPCC steel sheet. We follow AWS C1.1 for torque testing. The break torque is ≥25 N·m. The failure mode is sheet tearing or thread stripping, not weld spot failure. The axial pull-out force is ≥3000 N. The size range is M4 to M8. We have hex and square shapes. The hex shape works with standard socket wrenches. It gives high assembly speed. The square shape gives more anti-rotation torque. It is good for high vibration areas. Our material is carbon steel SWRCH35K or SWCH18A. The carbon content is 0.15 to 0.25%. This ensures good weld conductivity and fusion strength. The hex weldnut has three weld projections on three corners. The square type has four projections on four corners. The projection height is 0.4 to 0.6 mm with a tolerance of ±0.1 mm. Thread precision is 6H. This meets ISO 898-2 for nut strength.

We have thread rollers, automatic lathes, CNC lathes, and cold heading machines. We also have a full automatic packing machine. We use a mid-frequency inverter DC welder. The welding time is 0.15 to 0.35 seconds. This works for high speed lines. It fits 0.8 mm to 2.5 mm low carbon steel and zinc coated steel. Cold headed parts start at 50,000 pieces. Machined parts depend on the size. Free samples are ready for stock items. We pack with cartons. Inside we use plastic bags or boxes for separation. We have done this for 20 years.
