Add Threads to Thin Sheets with Our Press Fit Screws
Do you need a permanent outer thread on a thin sheet? Welding a stud may bend the sheet. Threading is not thick enough. Our Press Fit Screws solve this problem. They use pressure to sink into the thin metal sheet. After installation, the sheet has a permanent outer thread. The thread will not spin. We are a Shanghai factory. The torque-out force is ≥3.5 N·m. This follows the PEM Engineering Guide. The size range is M2 to M10. The clinching part has serrations or a hex anti-rotation shape. The tooth depth is 0.2 to 0.4 mm. The hardness after heat treatment is HV 350-450. The screw thread is precision 6g. The concentricity between thread and serrations is ≤0.1 mm. We offer stainless steel SUS303 or SUS304 and carbon steel C1215 or 10B21. It works for low carbon steel, aluminum, and copper sheets with hardness ≤HRB 70. It does not work for stainless steel or high hardness sheets. The thinnest sheet is 0.8 mm. The thickest is 3.0 mm.
