We take an M6 stainless steel pull rivet as an example. We put it into a 1.5 mm thick SPCC steel sheet. The drill hole is φ8.5 mm. The needed pull force (installation force) is 8-12 kN. After installation, the axial pull-out force is ≥3.5 kN. The torque-out force is ≥10 N·m.
Add Threads from One Side with Our Pull Rivets
Do you need a thread in a thin sheet but can only reach one side? Welding a nut is out of reach. A press fit nut needs back side support. Our Pull Rivets combine a blind rivet and a nut. You install from one side. You pull the rivet gun. The nut body expands and locks into the thin sheet. We are a Shanghai factory. We have made fasteners for 20 years.

For M6, the sheet thickness range is 0.8 to 3.5 mm. Short types work for thin sheets. Long types work for thick sheets. We offer three materials. Stainless steel SUS304 gives the best corrosion resistance and strength. Carbon steel SWRCH35K gives high strength and lower cost. Aluminum 5056 or 6061 is light. It is good for weight sensitive jobs. The nut body is cold headed. The wall thickness is even. The expansion zone length is 3 to 8 mm based on the size. Thread precision is 6H. This meets ISO 898-2 and DIN 7339.

You put the nut into the pre-drilled hole (hole is 0.1-0.3 mm bigger than the nut outer diameter). You pull the rivet gun. The nut expansion zone expands and clamps the sheet. The installed pull rivet can handle 20 or more bolt tightening cycles. Surface finish includes cleaning or zinc plating. Zinc plating gives 48-72 hours of salt spray. Stainless steel or aluminum comes in natural color. Sealed head types give some water and dust protection after installation.
