Without passivation, SUS304 only gives 200-300 hours. Our size is M8. The material is SUS304 or SUS316. SUS304 works for normal outdoor air. SUS316 is best for coastal areas or high humidity. Thread precision is 6g. The head type can be custom made. Hex head, internal hex, or Torx are all fine. The production uses cold heading and thread rolling. The thread is stronger than cut threads. The passivation process uses acid to remove iron from the stainless steel surface. It forms a dense chromium oxide layer. This layer shows 2-3 times better resistance to chloride corrosion than non-passivated stainless steel. The passive layer is stable at pH 4-9. This is good for industrial or coastal solar farms (high chloride in the air).
